Society is feeling the devastating effects of the economic climate. The City of Refuge Christian Center believes that God is our resource in this declining economy. Here at the City, we are committed to helping educate and assist with unemployment in the community to achieve gainful employment. We know through the obedience and commitment to Christ, it is He that will enable us to network with local businesses to assist and inspire the hope in God’s people that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Prison Ministry

We believe that no life is beyond the reach of God’s power, and we envision a future in which countless prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families, are redeemed, restored, and reconciled through the love and truth of Jesus Christ. We believe in being equipped and trained to spread the Gospel and nurture disciples behind prison walls, so that men and women become new creations in Christ – not repeat offenders. We will prepare Christian inmates to become leaders of their families, communities, and churches once they are released back into the community. We will support inmates’ families, helping them become reconciled to God and one another through transformative relationships with local churches.

Counseling Center

The church ministry offers qualified counselors for the total person: 3 John 1:2; “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosper.” City of Refuge Christian Center realizes that in God’s Word, there is an answer to every problem, circumstance, and situation. The City of Refuge Christian Center offers routine Christian and Clinical counseling for the whole man. God desires that a man’s entire body, spirit, and soul be restored and presented to Him as a living sacrifice. Here at the City, we also provide biblical resources to assist in the education and healing process of the entire existence of man.

Radio Ministry

Our desire is to touch the lives of hurting, lost people beyond the four walls of our church. We have the opportunity to minister one on one through the privacy of Christian radio and the Internet. We want to reach people who need the Lord when they are alone in their home, in their cars, where no one else can reach them. Let the Lord use you to help us proclaim the Good News that Jesus Christ saves and transforms lives. Life’s Uncertainties Counseling Services

Life’s Uncertainties provide counseling to Children, Adolescents and Adults. We specialize in the following areas: Sexual and physical abuse, depression, anxiety, adjustment, behavioral modification, couple counseling, and family counseling. We can provide financial support by servicing client’s in their homes and at the office. These services are provided by well-trained clinicians, who received ongoing supervision and training. We obtain contracts with several agencies in the community, such as DCF and Brevard Partnership. These contracts ensure that the community is served through the ministry of City of Refuge Christian Center and Life’s Uncertainties. We will also provide services to families who are reunifying due to imprisonment and involvement with The Department of Children and families.

Food Pantry Ministry

We take non-perishable food donations and distributes them to agencies or individuals in need of food. With over 925 million people in the world going without proper amounts of food, the need for food pantries and donations are at an all-time high. Every community has citizens in need of help when it comes to providing food for themselves and their families. You can help fight hunger by helping us donate non-perishable foods to needy families. Clothing Closet Ministry

After confinement and homelessness, necessities like clean, appropriate clothing are imperative for everyday wear and for obtaining and keeping a job. Many homeless families and ex-prisoners are without a supportive family. Returning to society with no basic clean clothes or the financial ability to acquire them, can be very discouraging. The importance of proper clothing is significant for success and feelings of self-respect.

We will take good used clothes donated by our members and their families and friends and give them away free to those in need. Please help us gather these items. We need clothing racks, shelves, tables, large plastic bins with lids, hangers, clothes, and shoes for children, women, and men, business wear for adults who are in search of jobs, and clothes for new mothers.
